The faculty of Indian origin are the prima donnas. They are the source of knowledge that can be converted to Intellectual Property first and then monetized. Where possible, we take the help of the Office of Technology Transfer (or its equivalent) that is usually there in every campus. Faculty also take the support of students (Post-doctor level, Ph D level, Masters level and Bachelors level) to provide the efforts needed to take an idea to the level of a startup. The startup is then incubated and accelerated, depending on how the team performs and how well the business environment responds.
To help in this process, we have the following:
* Coding team: This is a 230-strong technical team that supports the software development efforts needed
* Legal team: Saakshya Law provides the necessary legal services
* Accounting team: A group of 40 CAs and CPAs help with whatever is needed to form, nurture and grow the private enterprises that are spawned by the initiatives mentioned here.
* Marketing team: This is a cross-border team lead by Michael DiMauro, who is a marketing genius based out of Connecticut.
* Project team: This is a multi-disciplinary team that can take an idea and convert that to an enterprise and scale it geographically worldwide.
